What a great game really enjoyed that. End to end stuff.
Will be watching more of Leeds if that's the norm under MB.
I can't claim to follow them but this season it really does seem to be a case of the difference a manager makes. Will be watching more of Leeds if that's the norm under MB.
They don't seem to know when they're beaten.
What a game. WHAT A fkING GAME.
Thought it was all over by halftime but thankfully that desire and determination that Senor Bielsa has drilled into the team paid off.
Huge win, great weekend of sport for the city with Warringtons superb performance yesterday and our comeback today.
We are only halfway there but all the signs look promising. To have managed the result we have despite the injuries we have had says a lot about the work Senor Bielsa and his backroom team have done over the summer. The core of the team are the same players that looks abject towards the latter half of last season.

At 2-0 I though we were starting our usual Christmas period decline into mid table obscurity. But what a come back! I'd have celebrated like that at the end too if I'd been on the right end of a result like that.
Last season we would have lost that game 4-0. Especially with the number of injuries and youth playing.
This manager is the absolute dog bks. # MoT

What a way to hit the half-way point in the season! There is a saying: What matters is not how you fall down, but how you pick yourself up. This team is the embodiment of that! What an attitude these lads seem to have, all the way down through the academy players, who already seem to be better than some £10M+ players in other teams. I guess when you see that if you try hard you really can get in the full squad, that is going to be a huge motivation.
It isn't just hard graft either, they seem to have a precision and imagination that I haven't seen at Leeds for decades. Add to that the situation with penalties, and practically having to play against 12 opposition today... A team that actually wants to play for each other, for the team and for the club and supporters. Not sure the Premiership is ready for that! What is very telling is the number of neutrals commenting on the quality of play, and the words from our opponents. From what last year looked like a donkey sanctuary.
To put this into context, the table from Boxing Day last season shows we were in 5th place with 42 points, 5 points behind automatic promotion. Better than I thought! I think every supporter will be remembering what happened last time. Fingers crossed!

As it currently stands at the half way point 23/46 games:
1 Leeds 48
2 Norwich 47
3 West Brom 42
4 Middlesbrough 39
5 Derby 39
6 Sheff Utd 38
7 Nottm Forest 35

Out this afternoon so watched a recording without knowing the result. Grumpy to be 2-0 down at half-time (not a fait reflection of the game to that point IMO) but delighted with the fight and character the team showed to recover and get what in my view was a well deserved win.
To be top of the league after the injuries we've suffered is no mean achievement and the way some of our youngsters have stepped-up has been a real joy to see. Still a long way to go and still think we could do with a player or two in the forthcoming January transfer window; however, Bielsa seems to have transformed what was an under-performing group of players last season - whatever we're paying him he's worth it!

£2M a year was what was said. I'm sure he added that in increased player value in the first month alone. Right now it feels like the bargain of the century!

The scenes in the kop when we scored the winner, not celebrated like that in there for a long time!
We started the game well, should have been ahead by more than 1 by halftime. Poor start to the second half to let them back into it. When they scored their second I thought it was game over.
The self belief instilled into this squad by Senor Bielsa is unreal, what a superb ball in by Pablo Hernandez and a sublime finish from Roofe.

Going behind in the 90th, and then scoring in 1st and 4th minute of injury time. Bloody hell lads, stop doing this to me!
On second thoughts, if you keep racking up 3 points, do what you like! This team has more belief than a primary school full of kids before Christmas, and I haven't seen graft like this since we were in Europe. Oh yeah, and Norwich only drew.
Merry Christmas!

All I was hoping for from the Xmas period was at 6 points from the 4 games to show we have a chance , this league is a nightmare so every little point matters.
I can’t believe how it’s going, we loose players and we still fight, it’s that fight that makes the difference and it must come from this manager, at this rate he’ll have a stand named after him, at least a photo in McDonalds anyway!!!
I’m not going to get carried away, years ago a former work colleague and Preston fan said it didn’t matter what happened until the last five games, if you were within ten points of second then anything can happen, to be fair, he’s not been to far off. Teams have disappeared or gone up.
So now I always look at ten points as a gap.
If we keep grabbing points then that game with Norwich at the start of Feb looks tasty......

Grateful for the 3 points yesterday but it would be nice if we could dominate a game and win easily rather having to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in stoppage time! Wasn't at the game yesterday but speaking to a couple of mates who were it sounds like Blackburn weren't very good and we should have had the match won by half-time; just worried that one of these days we're going to allow an opponent to stay in the game and it will bite us (and given how tight the Championship is every point matters!).
Could easily have got something from the game yesterday. Red for Phillips hard to argue with but still feel that Forest should have been down to 10 by then anyway
Add to that the third came from a corner that came directly from a free kick that should have gone the other way, and the fourth Murphy was offside

I'm honestly not too bothered about the FA Cup but I think we need a good performance and a win against Derby to steady the ship in our next league game; another defeat at home and it really would start to feel like the wheels are beginning to come off the wagon.....
It will also be interesting to see what we try to do in the January transfer window. Bielsa's high intensity style is great in some respects but does place quite a burden on a relatively small squad when you get injuries and suspensions; hitherto we've coped ok but there does seem to be a feeling that players like Klich and Forshaw have been looking tired and jaded recently so are some reinforcements required?

I would imagine that pretty much any new player would take a fair time to come up to full speed and fitness, and then there is integrating with the squad, who seem to have a remarkable awareness of each other in comparison to previous years. A goalie wouldn't need that so much though.

Peacock Farrell,

Cooper, (Is be back?)
Jansonn
Pearce? (Thought he did a good job the other day)
Forshaw
Klich
Roberts
Alioski
Harrison
Roofe
Can anyone see a different team playing on Friday against derby?
Cooper still not fully recovered as I understand it and more significantly Hernandez and to a lesser extent Douglas will be big misses for us on Friday; have to say I'm still worried about the number of injuries we're getting given we've such a relatively small squad.Ayling,

Hope I'm wrong but I can see Derby turning us over this week, especially if Harry Wilson recovers from injury and is fit to play....
