Hopefully we can get Bielsa signed up for another year ASAP. Not worried about him going, I just find some of the Spurs fans and pundits slightly arrogant in saying that he'd happily leave us and go to them.

Being part of the ESL breakaway has gone to their heads a bit.
I think Bielsa will be happy to commit to us for at least one more season and if and when he leaves I doubt it will be to another English club. I don't think he'd have any desire to go to Spurs and certainly not so long as Levy's in charge; his comments about the proposed ESL breakaway were pretty unequivocal and I just don't see him wanting to work with someone who was an architect behind it...

Can't find it now but I was watching a Spurs vlog on youtube after we spanked them saying he was embarrassed that some Spurs fans were talking about Bielsa (and even Dyche) as possibly replacements for Mourinho and questioning why the hell either of those or many managers for that matter would want to go there...

Zero chance Bielsa will go there, I would put money on it. He'll sign for another year, hopefully two and then disappear into the sunset to retire or manage Newells...

Love watching Leeds play! A young, honest team of players who clearly love playing together! A joy to watch and I'm from Hull!

I think a lot of us long time Leeds supporters can't quite believe this is our team, and we are going to wake up at some point and Ken Bates is still going to be the owner and we are in the Haywards Pickles (div2) North league.

...and Luke Varney is gearing up to his testimonial year after hitting a personal record of 3 goals last season.

I see that Alioski has another contract on the table - I know he has been a bit hit and miss but the latter stages of the season think he's been outstanding and really hope he signs a new deal.

Agreed.

I'm shocked that O'Kane and Bouy were still contracted.

According to Wikipedia he went out on loan to Luton for a second time in January 2020 for 18 months so maybe was still there?

Bouy was last seen at PEC Zwolle in 2018 apparently although after a brief search on Instagram suggests he's been knocking about in the middle east and training on his own by the look of it for months/years. The worst part of it is, we'll have been paying for that! That looks like the last of the dead wood from the Cellino era so happy days. Bit said to see Douglas go - thought he was decent an a nice guy to boot. Expect he'll end up at a Scottish Prem side or another Championship side will snap him up...

6/9 to start the season. Not too bad then... I had a quick look - is it December that looks like it might be a tough month???

"FA confirm that no disciplinary action will be taken for a 'cry baby' gesture made by Gjanni Alioski following a thorough investigation"

Well there's a relief.... I was half expecting a 15 point deduction at the start of the season.

Has watching Leeds under Bielsa pretty much ruined the enjoyment of watching any other football? Its just so slow and dull.

And I don't mean just England. Other then the Portugal v Germany game I've struggled to maintain any interest in most other games.

Yep. I think the only games I've actually enjoyed so far have been Portugal-Germany and Netherlands-Ukraine (and Russia-Denmark, for a different reason).

So it's not just me then? I keep thinking "oh for goodness sake, you aren't even trying". Endless defensive play, ambling around, a lack of attacking enthusiasm, imprecise crossing, lethargic running... urgh!

There was a comment in the first England game about playing the high press and not having the energy to play it for a full 90. Excuse me but Kalvin has played in team that has done it for 90 minutes in every game over the course of the last 3 seasons. I guess thats Gareth's excuse for playing dull, pedestrian football. I wasn't going to watch last nights game but I thought that it can't be as bad as the other games have been and up until the 13th minute I was enjoying it. Then the goal went in and it was 80 minutes of the same, dross as the previous games...

It would have been another advantage of having Bamford in the England squad. A striker who can press for 90 minutes would have brought England something different to Harry Kane.

To be fair to Man Utd I thought they were good today - when Pogba's playing like that he'll give anyone problems and going forward they always looked a threat. But to be honest we're not competing with the likes of them for a top 4 place - anything for us today would have been a bonus, just got to hope that bit of a mauling doesn't undermine confidence too much.

I think it did show our squad lacks strength in depth though - we definitely missed Phillips and Llorente and I thought some of those who did play today weren't at their best either. Anyway, for us the season now starts against Everton so let's hope we see a favourable reaction next weekend!
