As a Saints fan, I could not watch the game live but followed on BBC text and saw MOTD. Well done for winning, it feels harsh to lose in the 96th minute but that's life. I think the saints coped fairly well and had some decent chances which was pleasing. Fair to say you boys have some pretty good players and if you want to loan us a couple then feel free smile
I remember the last game at Maine road and you ruined that for us, so little sympathy smile

Seriously though, Southampton played well, were a bit unlucky at times but that’s football!

Shame for us that football was measured in goals, but a good game and whilst I would have liked a point the game was good which is what matters in terms of entertaining the fans

Oh, and since Arsenal will beat Utd, then the gap won’t close from now anyway.
You really don't like United do you?

We completely dominated the second half against West Ham this afternoon, but are starting to make hard work of things and having to grind out results, whereas earlier on we were steamrollering teams 6-0.

Still, three points are three points.

Looking good for next week against United.

You will have to be far more cautious against them, they beat the goons yesterday with only 25% possession.

I think a point would suit us more than United.

Let's hope it's a great game, often City/United derbies fail to live up to expectations.

In the last two games that City have played , they have been chasing the game & Pep has had the bottle & privilege to call on top class strikers whilst taking of defensive players, Not so sure you will get away with it against Jose's team.

As you say a draw would suit you .

I couldn't give a monkey's about the last game at Maine Road result but what was petty and bang out of order was that City asked Southampton to take a reduced allocation for that game so more Blues could get in.

However, even though they knew that they wouldn't sell out they insisted on having the full allocation and as a result the away end was half empty when thousands of Blues missed out.

Saints can take a running jump as far as I'm concerned.

That’s generally true but I also remember the Saints away fans were sat in an reduced capacity, open temporary stand, between the Kippax and the North stand, which was open to the rain while we sat in the normal, covered, away supporters area in the North stand. Karma
Tbh I don’t remember any empty seats in their area but I do remember holding back the tears until some Saints fan caught my eye and nodded at me, My missus was scoffing at others getting emotional and then she laughed at me. I still married her though smile
