I'd like to see you guys win the champions league. Not so sure you will though. Premiership already wrapped up, I assume Pep will now put all his eggs in the European basket?

Man United and, particularly Tottenham away, will provide the hardest tests I think, but who knows.

RE putting all the eggs in the European basket. I'm not sure. Half of me says he'll keep fielding a strong side to prevent any slowing of the momentum of a winning team..... Half thinks he may rest some top players when the League is wrapped up. He may even rest a few key players (or dlsend a few on for not a full match against Basel as 4 up is almost a given to have gone through already.

.
I can see us beating Utd, despite José bringing the biggest and longest bus he can find. Spurs will be a tough ask though especially if they’ve learnt from their last hiding from us.

I guess the answer is he will make some changes for the easier ties! Be interesting to see if he makes big changes for the PL once it's wrapped up to potentially help freshness for the CL.

It's brilliant that Man City have that luxury, I believe it will help them in the cup competitions as he will play the reserves like Yaya and the younger players in order to keep the main first teamers relatively fresh.

A bit of a strange one last night. Well done to Basel but a few of our defence missed the chance to stake a starting place in the big matches.
Didn’t matter though but it was a bit unusual to lose at home. This is what it must feel like to follow Utd wink

thing which stood out for me was that the game bypasses yaya largely when the opposition have the ball, and when we have it he slows the game down and allows them to organise.

make no mistake, a city legend and the guy who took us to silverware. completely spent as a footballing force now sadly.

I think he may still have a use but I know what you mean. In the old days he’d have scored from that free kick he didn’t take and then when he got the ball in midfield no one could stop his juggernaut into the oppenents box. Still. He’s got to be a good teacher to Folden?

Stoke away in March......the kind of game that used to worry the hell out of most teams.

However, my forecast 4-1 to us, I think we can now say we have lost our unpredictable tag that has dogged us for many years.

I heard Pep on the radio this morning saying he doesn’t like Monday games as they always seem unlucky for him .

Really becoming a formality now.

So....possibility to win at United, possibility for most goals scored in a season, biggest goal difference in a season, most wins in a season and highest points tally in a season......

Possibility for the Champions League too wink

We're really in dreamland - some of the football last night was sublime.

I thought Sterling made a big difference - he's got so much more attacking threat then B Silva and carves open big spaces for Kyle Walker. When we get Mendy back we'll be able to do the same on the left too.

I like Bernardo Silva a lot. In fact there’s not a single player who I don’t really rate these days smile
