Project Everton dreams in tatters. Who would have thought this would be the case last May.

Ffs.

Onwards and upwards.

Unsy and Big Dunc caretaker managers until we sign who? Who the fk would touch us now?

Someone who would want a bigger salary? Assuming the next guy will get the same salary £6 million should attract a lot of talent.

I've always quite liked Big Sam, he plays to the strengths of his team and gets the basics right. Neither of which Koeman was doing!

I think Silva at Watford would be a great choice. I'm sure Moshiri has had some feelers out before sacking Koeman

You need them as player-caretaker managers.

Don't think it matters who is manager right now. You've got a completely unbalanced squad and you'll pay through the nose to fix it in January. Conceding 5 at home to Arsenal should be a mandatory sacking for all managers though yes

Having watched Watford on Sat lunchtime knock the ball around pretty well, away at Chelsea, score twice - should have been four at least - Everton could do a lot worse - wouldn't go so far as saying he's a Poch in the making but Watford looked unreognisable from the essentially 'Championship+' team they have in recent years ...

Is the old Leicester manager still about, Ranieri?

Not sure he'd work well with what you have. He likes to play counter attacking football and you have a severe lack of pace.

Just read that he's with Nantes since June anyway.

Fat Sam it is then - him and Rooney can have belly wobbling competitions.

He wasn't far off saving Hull either. Part of me would be concerned how quickly he jumps clubs if he was to join us as he's wasn't at Hull long, and would be with Watford even less time.

bks to that! I will not have fat Sam, where has our ambition gone? - Embarrassing!

Unsy until January, costs us nothing and I honestly believe he can step up, remember the final game he was in charge of after Martinez got the boot?

Lovren and Koeman - two ex-Saints who made quite an impact on Merseyside clubs this weekend.

Both have to go down as rather costly mistakes - all told, ~£25 million each isn't it ?

Gerry and Kate McCann are on the verge of a shock move to Everton following the departure of Ronald Koeman this afternoon. Speaking to the Echo this evening, chairman Bill Kenwright commented that they had “only lost one in Europe.”

According to the MOS the players hate having to queue up behind RK in the canteen, then when it’s their turn the foods cold. Could have a bearing I suppose, I know I know I am clutching at straws.
Thanks for that. My question, which maybe needs rephrasing, was more is the issue a lack of goals/replacing Lukaku (ie creating but not putting away chances, hence comment re Iheanacho) or have you just been st all over the park?
