You need to take those rose tinted glasses off, some of the football under Bobby Martinez was utter ste! He had a good first season with Moyes' defending still in place, after that it went badly wrong! In his last season we lost 3-0 to Sunderland, we won 1 in our last 10 games under him as well. We got dicked 4-0 TWICE by Liverpool under him, conceded 55 goals in a season, had the second lowest points total we'd had in the Premier league under him, we dropped so many points from a winning position (I checked, it was 18 points!) and recorded our lowest home points record to that point under him. And he signed Kone and Alcaraz.... TalkSport were singing his praises the other day and saying we hounded him out of the club, but they have forgotten all of this, it seems a few others have too
Silva was manager at Estoril who were in the second division, he lost 3 matches in 24 in his first season and took them from mid table to champions. His second season they finished 5th and qualified for the Europa league and went on to finish 4th in his third and final season. He then went to Sporting where they finished 3rd and won a cup, a few days after the cup win at the end of the season they saked him as he refused to wer the club suit (i'm sure there's more to that!).
He then went to Olympiacos were he one their opening 11 games including beting Arsenal, they won 17 league games that season and won the league. He quit at the end of the season and ended up at Hull 6 months later.
I think he did well at Hull, I know they went down, but they were properly fked when he took over, Houdini wouldn't have been able to escape that drop. They did beat United, Liverpool and Arsenal under him though. He was doing ok at Watford until we came in for him and the wheels came off. I'm undecided about him, until Watford went pear shaped I thought he'd be a great choice. He's proved that he can win stuff, and proved he can work on a budget. It'll be attacking football, but I think the defending may take a back seat...

Richarlison..... £50m, really??
I was hoping the Spuds would be in for him, Bit too rich for us.
I thought this was a piss-take at first.I was hoping the Spuds would be in for him, Bit too rich for us.
Looks as if Everton are going to try and out do their efforts of last summer when they would have been better taking the Lukaku money and setting fire to it.

Failed to register a goal or an assist in his last 23 games
In all fairness to the player , he has played nigh on for two & a half years without a break what with the junior world cup last year & playing for Fluminense the summer before when our lads were on their Summer b break.Surprised you never knew that tbh stato man !
I think he's a decent player , strong , fast , & aggressive, not sure he's worth £50m but hey ho Liverpool have just spent £66M on a goalkeeper that they put seven past last season & who has won nothing in the game so far.
I was rather hoping my lot would be in for him but i don't think our chairman would pay that kind of money for anyone.
