Klopps 1st season we finished 8th, yes we had a good cup run and he took eye off the league but at this time we were 11th ..
My point is based in the game v us (lfc) you were a breath of fresh air to the normal Everton teams. My point is you have to give him time and at least 2 summer's to get this right..
No good you changing managers times after time just as things are not great at the start, as fans you have to be patient and just accept it will take time if you really want to compete with the top 6 again...
Agreed and very gracious, thank you

He can keep playing players hoping that they are suddenly going to meet the required standard. They aren’t up to it.

DCL 62 games and 8 goals. The lad grafts but he isn’t good enough.
Walcott hasn’t created a thing for 4 games. Heads up his arse.
Jon Joe Kenny, grafter but lacks quality. Not good enough.
Keane is a disaster waiting to happen.
Zouma been punted round clubs numerous times. Why? Not good enough.
Tosun £28m, big lad, grafts, not good enough. None of the best teams in the world play with a big lump like him, Man Utd are finding out Lukaku is a hinderance rather than an asset.

I could go on.
So who else is he going to play up top? Only one of those has been a Silva signing, and he's only on loan. We've got a fairly large squad that has a lot of players that aren't good enough that have been signed by the last 2 managers. Brands has said it'll be one out and one in in January, we really need to clear the ste out, bring some cash in and free up some of the wage budget for fresh blood.

My only point is I'd like him to play Lookman more.

Agreed. Chopping and changing doesn't help any club (bar maybe Chelsea, but they've a better squad and a far bigger budget!)

Richalarlson with Sigurdsson playing off him.

Big problem to me is you just seemed to rush signings in with no real plan, was just a case of getting anyone that seemed to want to come. Next year you need a real plan, which positions you need to target and have 1,2 3 options, get them done early and give them a full pre season with Silva.

I agree 100% with the comment about rushed signings, Tosun @ 28 million springs to mind as just one of them. I'm not though 100% in agreement with giving Silva a couple of seasons to get things right if he continues in this fashion. The performances against teams in the bottom half of the league has been dire and simply nothing has convinced me yet this man is the Messiah who will turn things around.

Just his after match comments tell me this too, he looks beaten already and unhappy in his role.

We have ̶s̶q̶u̶a̶n̶d̶e̶r̶e̶d̶ splashed the cash over the last season or two and pretended we are building for an assault on the top 4 lol, yet the players from very recent memory in the "cash strapped Everton" days would still get places in this team, and in fact be star members of the squad.

We've nobody there with the fight and spirit of "lowly" Cahill and Osman, and in fact the former even at approaching 40 would give us more strike power than the whole of our forwards possess at the moment.

I'm worried, we can't just go on panic buying and hoping for results.......it'd be nice if just for a change one of these panic buys was a proven player and household name we'd heard of.

Same goes for managerial appointments, why the clamour and hassle to "steal" Silva? What had he achieved? What was his attraction to the board? I heard no real cry from the fans for this to happen.

I'm at a loss now at what happens next. Would love to see Silva prove me wrong in the next few weeks and do a couple of inspirational signings and take the 15 points we should from the next 5 league fixtures, however I doubt it.

My bet is a signing of a striker from the Kurdistan premier league and an Icelandic 2nd division midfielder for a combined fee of 71 million. Am I sceptical?............ Me??, Nooooooo lol.

A few weeks back I was convinced a striker in the January window would see us cement a top 6 slot, I'm not so certain now.

Which of the 'top six' squads did you think Everton were stronger than?

I've only seen highlights/Sky but Everton have been pretty rank of late, and a country mile off a top-six side.

A top-half finish may even now be pushing it.

I genuinely think Everton gave as good as they got at Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool and but for the final finish may have taken more than a point from those fixtures. Hence it was then I thought one out and out striker may push us on from there

However I agree, we look a mile from top 6 quality now all over the pitch and a top half finish may just about be the most we can hope for if it continues like this.

Getting shot of Silva isn't the answer, we'll be back to square one with another manager looking at a squad made up of the last 4 managers then!

Yes, square one again, and a predictable square one. However if he shows any sign of interest in the job I'd hope we'd show him the door and take the compensation we'd may well be be entitled to.

Not many would lose sleep over it I'd bet at this time.

I'd be annoyed, but wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I just think chopping and changing managers doesn't help anyone bar maybe Chelsea!

I whole heartedly agree with you. I just can't believe we are in this situation again.

We panic buy not only players but managers now it appears.

I see we're being linked with defenders and midfielders. I get that most of it is paper talk, but someone surely must see we need someone that can put the ball in the back of the net? There's been quite a few games that we could have turned a loss in to a draw, and a draw in to a win with a flipping decent front man banghead

Well it's official, we're going to win the league within 10 years rolleyes

In other news, I see Brands is now part of the board which I think is a good thing. I like some of the signings he's been involved in since he joined, and I see he now oversees the academy as well which makes sense. Hopefully we'll be able to produce/poach some great youth players that we won't play...

Here's hoping the team turn up today.

A good display and comfortable win is needed here.
