If you listen to RK doing is press conference yesterday he has said Barclay can go as soon as an acceptable bid comes in and it's been that way since the season ended. He also said he would start training with the first team when fit to do so. So if we get no bids and he is fit could be interesting. I think Ross ought to lower is sights on the wages front.
Nobody wants him, he's a nasty little thug with an attitude problem - of course Koemann wants shot.Just got back after an eventful journey back down the M6. Well pre season and it showed we were very predictable and chances were few. When Sandro came we looked so much better up front, just love his movement across the line, pulling defenders every which way, I think he is going to be a Goodison favourite. We are going to need another striker for sure, and Sigurdsson would be a great addition, but above all we need to get up and running asap.

Barkley saying he wants a new challenge so won't sign a new deal. This at possibly one of the most exciting times in recent years. Cash in and let him go I say
I've always thought him massively overrated (along with Wilshere) - not seen him play an awful lot but have I missed something?Fast Bug said:
As ste as I thought he would be. We really need another striker, Sandro looked quite bright but we can't rely on him and Rooney
He did seem massively past it at UTD..to expect him to suddenly turn it on was hope i imagine more than belief ? He will score some goals but he is not going to effect any games anywhere near enough for you I think all sensible fans could see it wasn't going to be a great idea. He played better when he was deeper and had Sandro in front of him, but he's not going to be a starter week in week out (I hope!). There's a lot of games this season so we do need some depth, so I'm sure he'll play more than he did at United, hopefully the kids will learn a lot from him
Being at the game I tended to watch Rooney his movement off the ball etc, it was difficult in so much when ever the ball came to him there were always two three players closely marking him, I suppose you will get that from weaker teams. As been said, he dropped back a wee bit when Sandro came on he looked better.

I think more your hope than ours. Your understanding of the game is only matched by your grammar, that would be Affect as opposed to Effect. Carry on popping in though, always fun to see how you're not obsessed with Everton.Blue62 said:

You're right with regard to "affect" vs "effect"; neither requires an initial capital, however.
On reflection it was a bit of pedantry brought on by too many 'early doors' pints. I don't really care about Liverpool fans coming on and having a pop, I just get irritated by the faux attempt to engage in a discussion when all he's doing is having a dig. Tbh I was not having a pop it was a discussion which 1 of you happily had...
I am genuinely intrigued as to how he will get on as he seemed past it at UTD and their fans kind of said the same for at least a year ...
If I'm not allowed a discussion though as I'm not a Blue I apologise for entering the sacred Everton thread

Not sure why I am bothering, but if you could review your last post (the one before the nonsense about how Victoria was on the throne the last time we beat you), you say that Rooney was way past it at United and that he is not going to effect (sic) anywhere near enough games for us.I am genuinely intrigued as to how he will get on as he seemed past it at UTD and their fans kind of said the same for at least a year ...

If that is your idea of a discussion then let me be the first to enlighten you, it is not. You are simply attempting a put down, you are making a hypothetical point about whether or not Rooney will effect (sic) games, how does the discussion go from there? Maybe someone will contradict you, that would be a good read. You're welcome here anytime, just post something remotely intelligent or interesting.
To be fair I popped a reply on the Liverpool thread about since Liverpool last won the league
He's got a point about Rooney too, and I read his opening line as an actual conversation, you know, like people have about football. I've been with 2 of my brother in laws today, and we've been having conversations about Portsmouth and Spurs as that's who they support and how Spurs are going to struggle due to playing at Wembley.
Football, it's all about banter and giving and taking abuse
