Wonderful news for BDB.
Genuinely delighted for him.
Me too, we all know he wasn't really suited to a "wing back" role like Hall, Livramento or Trippier but as a solid centre back he's excellent and I've always suggested an England role. FFS Maguire gets a game and BDB is his equal (or better).Genuinely delighted for him.

Where is everyone watching it on sunday?
I wont be out, i will be watching from home, house to myself. So i can shout/cry/go mental all on my own!
Most likely at home too. Id have jumped on the train and gone into the city but theres no trains this weekend so I might as well just stay and have a few beers at home. I wont be out, i will be watching from home, house to myself. So i can shout/cry/go mental all on my own!
Excitement starting to build here. Off to watch it with my father. He's nigh on 80 and is stressing about what the results will be from a CT scan he had on Friday. Today will take his mind off it, win or lose.
He doesn't know it but, he's getting my '97 shirt to wear. Hoping it brings the best of memories.
Anyhow, in terms of confidence, I've been trawling YouTube this morning, watching the highlights of the road to Wembley but, also, was reminded that nobody gave us a sniff against PSG and yet, we turned out a performance of passion, desire, commitment and running.
In the starting 11 that day we had Lascelles, Longstaff and Almiron. Dan Burn played left back. Bruno and Tonali hadn't figured out how to play with each other.
If we play today with the same passion, desire, commitment and running, we'll have every chance of winning.
HWTLs!!

God I'm too nervous for this. It feels like a good day. It must be time. I sense an Italian masterclass coming. Time to shine lads!!! HWTL
I hope you are right! At the risk for setting myself up for disappointment, I'm feeling strangely hopeful. Though I have to remember we are still the underdogs here, so as long as the lads put in a good effort, then what will be, will be.Skyedriver said:
Never felt like this before.
Have strained something, severe pain in arm, shoulder and neck, head all befuddled waiting for kick off.
Only concern with the team, hope picking Pope isn't a mistake.
Wish it was 4 30
