That was a penalty ? feck me if they give a penalty for that with all the pushing and holding in the box it would be non stop penalties.
This ref showed his intention with this game with the colombian commiting at least 8 fouls and no card.
He clearly yanked him back, absolute idiot to do so and the ref clearly saw it. Anyone would've given it. They've just replayed it on sky sports about 3 times. This ref showed his intention with this game with the colombian commiting at least 8 fouls and no card.

Now that the dust settled, where do we all stand on Eddie?
I've always tended to be on his side, and I've never generally shouted for his head after a poor result, but, some of the facts speak for themselves here:
25 points dropped from winning positions - the highest ever in the premier league so I've heard.
Spent £125m on 2 strikers that are bench warmers.
£700m spent in total, currently 14th.
Same old negative, poor tactics week in, week out. Why aren't we just playing Wissa and Wolte up front, why not give it a go?
Sure, he's done us well, and I do like the bloke, but he really does look out of ideas. Do we really want him spending more money on more signings that will either flop or he won't use? After all that could be risky with the PSR or whatever it's called next week restrictions.
At the end of the day, it's up to the owners what to do, but honestly, if he left, I wouldn't complain. Perhaps it's time for someone else to have a go, and have a fresh start and rebuild in the summer. What does everyone else think?

I've been a big fan of Eddie and still am but yes, getting frustrated.I've always tended to be on his side, and I've never generally shouted for his head after a poor result, but, some of the facts speak for themselves here:

But I think he has a problem and it's not ALL of his making.
I groaned when I saw Woltemade coming on yesterday, "that's it, we're beaten, we won't score anymore now" He's not a forward, I'm not even sure he's a decent midfielder playing with who else we've got.
Wissa is a waste of space. Elanga wasn't on long enough, Gordon wasn't in it which is why I called Barnes for Gordon 10 mins before Eddie did the change.
I won't ramble on again like a few weeks ago only to get first slagged off, then get a number of agreements but at the moment we're an average side with average players, some of whom don't want to be at SJP and some who shouldn't be there.
It's not all Eddie, I have repeatedly said, I'm convinced there's something going on behind the scenes that is causing this as well.
Was pleased to see Osula trying his best yesterday, he WILL make it as a top striker in the **** mould, he just needs time and full match practice.
The passing and team play yesterday was poor, like half of them didn't want to be there. Even Lewis Hall who has been a gem this season was calamitous in his passing. Why play Botman who usually goes forward for corners and is a good header of the ball when he's worried about further facial damage. Miley was OK from what I saw of him, Sandro too but passing hit/miss, Joelinton was just looking for a fight out of frustration. Where is Bruno?
- ** he who should not be named.

For me he gets another season.
This has been poor but he's delivered champions league twice and won a trophy. I think managers generally don't get enough time or benefit of the doubt but he deserves it IMO.

He needs some money, some decent scouts, some time to actually get a team playing again as a team, without the general malaise of the current squad who would appear to no longer fully desire to play for the team rather than themselves.

More money, Newcastle splurged 277 million quid on transfers before the current season started! The problem is more what you spent it on.He needs some money, some decent scouts, some time to actually get a team playing again as a team, without the general malaise of the current squad who would appear to no longer fully desire to play for the team rather than themselves.
Your season is over, nothing to play for so the players are already on the beach on holiday in their heads

I heard on YT that on average we spend £49m per player. That's quite a lot, and not sustainable, especially if said players are just getting benched.
Was that the one done by the ex fat lad? In between the faux outrage he makes some decent points. He doesn't seem to like Howe mind

Very much doubt he will be here next season, players do not seem to have their heart in it anymore.
No idea what has caused it, beginning of the season we blamed the rat unsettling everything but we should be past that by now, sure we bought badly however it seems nobody in the team is even trying especially yesterday.
Question is if Eddie went who would replace him, can think of one who might be interested because of Sir Bobby's connection but I personally detest the bloke and his ego.
