Regardless of the FFP / PSR / SCR bks, players have always chased the cash.

Doubling his wages isn't something we can compete with.

That's a good fee for him I'll take that.

Hopefully getting some of these exits done early allows us time for proper replacements.

Mind you manage to get some cracking fees for your players.
Tonali to the cockney mags £100m
Xhaka to Chelsea £8m (probably)
Who will have made the best deal there biggrin
It was only a matter of time before he left, regardless of what anyone here thinks he never wanted to be there. Heart the size of a pea.
Let's just hope your recruitment is as good as last summer hehe
Ray, for all Xhakas qualities, he's 33 so he's got limited time left. Tonali is just hitting his prime. There's absolute no comparison in valuation.

Seems to be all academic now as he's staying but you are wrong

BDB on for England and doing the job well
AG played like he did season before last rather than last season.

BDB was great, nothing getting past him. Just need him to score the winning header in the final, that would be perfect. Agree AG was excellent.

So happy for BDB. A brilliant display. Was like a rock.

I wonder if Tuchel will go with BDB to try and contain Haaland on Saturday?

Well I'm biased but I would.
And I'd drop Quansah, he stood and watched Mexico's goal. But with a red card he can't play anyway can he.
Guehi seems OK as does O'Reilly but I'd be putting BDB centre back. Has he not managed to control Haaland in Premier league games.

Quansah could play if he was American.
Not a big follower, but I don't think Haaland does much against Burn, so could be horses for courses scratchchin

18 year old incoming from Ajax, £23m apparently, plays middle of the park 6/8, anyone seen or heard anything about him, Sean Stur?

He's a bit of an unknown, no? I trust the scouts though. I imagine he'll come in as a bit part player to add depth for now.

In other news, forgot to post this in here. Got a cycling jersey for fathers day a few weeks back!

Sounds like we are moving away from the steady "proven PL" player and going for the young and hungry gamble. Could backfire or could regenerate a spark in the side. I wonder if there's been a morale issue within the team this last 12/18 months and there needs to be change which has been recognised. Eddie usually does ok with development so hopefully we can see something new next season.

Given the lacklustre displays last season from two players who've now left the club, I'd say the Isak saga last summer was the visible tip of an iceberg.
