A great effort!

What is the goal for us now? Any European football would be a good result I think based on current form?

Didn't understand the reference until I googled
Always thought he was a bit underrated at Newcastle. Maybe not first selection but useful to give some depth.
Along with Fraser...

MyTV must be on the blink, it looks like the ref is wearing as plain shirt instead of a black and white striped one

Would suggest you spend some money and buy a decent TV

What a header that was.

Also Pope should be off. Dodged a bullet there.

Great stuff from Miggy.

Shame Botman left his stting boots on at the end, class move was that, deserved a goal.

Anyway, onwards and upwards!

Great stuff indeed from Miggy.

We made it hard for ourselves for a lot of the second half. Trippier unfortunate for their goal, but class going forward and from dead balls.

An essential win. It doesn't matter how they come.

Onwards and upwards.

From the Irish Examiner:

Newcastle finally halted their damaging mid-season wobble thanks to Miguel Almiron's late winner and what can only be assumed was a VAR team comprising Jimmy Nail, Sam Fender and Cheryl Tweedy.

Good. It's about time we had some of the fortune of decision that so many of the top clubs get. We've dropped points through bad decisions earlier in the season so it feels like levelling up the North is in motion.

Talking of refereeing decisions, I watched the Sunderland v Norwich match. The number of dives by the Norwich players resulting in free kicks and even a yellow card for Sunderland was a joke. They weren't even touched yet fell over.
