Window opens 15th June doesn't it? Or, at least I think I've read that and the deal will be ratified then.

Can someone explain to me how this is a done deal? As I understand it, the transfer window neither here nor in Europe is open, so this is really an agreement in principle, but what happens if / when he gets injured in the world cup? Could they then turn around and say "unlucky toon, can't sign him now, injured" ?
A mate down the pub told me that you can do the deal early but you just can't register it until the window opens. This, like most of what my mate down the pub says, could be total rubbish of course.

So sad to hear that. It's made me feel even sadder that my father is in the same situation right now so feels very raw. Good luck King Kev.

Yep, no one is immune, from what I read a short while ago he didn't want it broadcast.
Good luck to KK and to your Dad.

Sorry to read about your dad there. I hope you're ok, in as much as you can be, and wish your dad all the luck he needs and hope he finds the strength to fight.

Cancer is a bh.

Likewise, the same hopes for KK.

He announced it last night live on stage, he was remarkably light hearted about it all.

Bit of a shame seeing the headlines as even though there were reporters n the audience they were asked not to report on anything that wasn’t already out there. That’s the world we live in I suppose.

I was there in a meet and greet and he was on absolutely cracking form-it was more akin to a comedy gig than anything approaching a farewell tour-he looked well and had boundless energy-lovely seeing Pedro and Beefy turn up unannounced for a crack as well.

He was so appreciative of the Geordie support and for those with season tickets, he did say he thought it was a good idea to finally come back to st James’ park for the first home game next season. Just don’t build a statue of him (in his own words!).

A remarkable guy, legend isn’t always deserved but there’s no better word to describe him. You forget how early his amazing career started out if like me, you really only followed him from the mid eighties onwards. I must admit I never realised how small he was!

Is it my imagination or am I correct that there was another post that has been removed ?

Yeah, one from someone paraphrasing KKs famous "love it" rant.

Didn't help that they got it wrong!

It's obviously one of his most famous moments but I think this sums up the man better;

There's not many men big enough to be so honest and appreciative in defeat.

The goalie? I'll bet he's relieved he doesn't have to wear that new shirt.

Just thought you didn't seem to like about a month ago, must've grown on you, could always get one of the training tops which look modelled on carpet tiles you get in offices biggrin

New shirt is awful. In better news, I’m mid 300’s on the season ticket waitlist.

Apparently there was virtually nobody queueing to buy this new top, which says it all. I think it's crap.
