We`re in the st. Gonna be at wrong end of table all season ~ you can`t drop points at home to the likes of Fulham and expect anything else. I quite like Zola but will he be any good in the rancid stench of a relegation dogfight? Come next May will it be Premiership and HELLO!! fizzy pop league?
Actually Coke've pulled their sponsorship for 2010, christ knows what the league'll be called...
Next 3/4 games are going to be critical if we've any chance of staying in touch, October: Stoke (A) French (H) Sunderland (A) - maybe 2 / 3 points at best out of that lot, then home games with Villa & Everton.
More perfomances like Sunday against that lot plus the possiblity of an injury to Cole on International duty & we are in serious trouble.

I would rather change my job than change my style of play. The way I like to play is the way I believe is right for this club. I won't change my principles. I didn't last year when we were having problems as well. I do this job because I love to do it in this way and I won't change it.'
However, beneath the commitment to pretty football lies a 'warrior', a man who is determined to get West Ham out of trouble and can draw on experience from his playing days to try and lift his squad.
Zola said: 'I am a warrior in the way that I won't give up. I have a determination to succeed stronger than anything. I will never show the players that I am letting myself down. Life is about dealing with the problems in front of you. My thing is not to look for the problems but look for the solutions

Hello!
Top ten most of season, scrape into Play Offs. Beat PNE.
Same Old Same Old.
What bothers me is the complete lack of width that Zola seems to play with.Collinson constantly coming inside or passing square, and the same with Behrami.Illunga's going through one of those phases where nothing comes off, Noble is a shadow of himself( as is Collinson) Green's had a nightmare 3/4 weeks, and the lack of support for Cole when he holds the ball up is chronic. I'm not sure whether it was a gutsy fightback or Arsenal taking their foot off the gas, but for that blinkered tt Wenger to come out and say the decisions didn't go their way? What a fking . A goal disallowed for fk all, a blatant penalty turned down which would be given every day of the fking week at the top four grounds,Parker sent off for a minimal contact yellow and for winning the ball with the 2nd.
Still worrying times I'm afraid....

Decent point although should've been 3 having thrown 2 goals away - seems to be our only scoreline at the mo.
2-2 was a fair result, either team could have won it. Sunderland were shocking in the first half until Andy Reid worked his magic. The sending off of Jones sparked Sunderland into life and it was a very entertaining game in the second half. Carlton Cole was superb, never stopped working and could teach Jones a thing or two IMO. Could have bagged another if it had not been for Nosworthy and a fantastic tackle.
Darren Bent never stopped running or working but he forgot his shooting boots this week
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable game, despite the ref being useless and card happy.
