Spring rates for the T350
Discussion
I was just wondering what the standard spring rates (front and rear) were for the T350?
My car has Eibach springs fitted with Nitrons and the car now handles / rides beautifully after a bit of tinkering with damper settings.
I was wondering if the Eibach springs were stronger than the standard T350 springs and how these compare with the standard Sagaris springs?

Has anybody tried to fit Sagaris / dampers onto a T350?My car has Eibach springs fitted with Nitrons and the car now handles / rides beautifully after a bit of tinkering with damper settings.

I heard a rumour that HHC has had a go. Stock T350 spring rates are very soft ie 200lb/in ( 35N/mm) front and 157lb/in (27.5 N/mm) rear. Some of the early cars may have 30N/mm front springs (or could be all with Harvey Bailey shocks).
Nitron list the usually supplied spring rates for thier T350 shocks on thier website or used to (CBA to look them up).

Thanks for the info fredd1e, I could not find this anywhere...Nitron list the usually supplied spring rates for thier T350 shocks on thier website or used to (CBA to look them up).
The standard Eibach springs supplied with the the T350 Nitron shocks kit are:
- Front: 400 lbs/in (vs. 200 lbs/in standard)
- Rear: 350 lbs/in (vs. 157 lbs/in standard)
The standard Sagaris (factory fitted Eibachs) springs are:
- Front: 450 lbs/in
- Rear: 400 lbs/in
So it looks like the Eibachs with the Nitrons bring the T350 closer to the Sagaris ideal of harder springs (doubling the spring rates all round) and softer shocks (dependant on the settings)...
one vital fact missing is the effective spring rate, which is the spring rate the wheels "see". As the Sag has different wishbone mounts to the T350 its possible the wheel will see a different spring rate or it may have just affected the effective rate change through suspension movement. I seem to recall that the T350 may have a falling rate as the suspension compresses but I could be wrong.

Quick question on this - As the standard T350 springs are made by Eibach, when you say you have Eibach springs fitted, I assume you mean yours are not OE spec ones? Do you know what spring rates yours are?My car has Eibach springs fitted with Nitrons and the car now handles / rides beautifully after a bit of tinkering with damper settings.

Mine has Nitrons with Eibach springs and I find it too stiff as it stands, particularly at the rear. I bought mine with Nitrons already fitted so no experience of the standard springs, but it seems to not only be too stiffly sprung at the rear but appears to be hitting the bump stops all the time as well. I need to look into where the rates are set when it goes in for its 12k.

From what I've been able to find out, the eibach springs sold with nitrons as a kit were, in many cases, still the same (hard) rates as the nitron springs themselves, but were an upgrade to the old black coloured nitron springs. Newer blue nitron springs are apparently much better, and almost on par with the eibachs. If you're still hitting the stops, I'm guessing your ride height is set too low??
