Poor performance overall but pleased we ground out a win despite that.

Schecter was awful, Dyer and De Guzman slack.

The game changed when the magnificent Ki came on and I thought Luke Moore brought something different too.

In the semi's!

There've been rumours for a while but:

Sky Bet have cut Swansea from 40/1 to 8/11 to make a shock swoop for Barcelona forward David Villa after seeing a string of significant bets.

The online betting firm added the Swans to their books by request on Wednesday afternoon and immediately saw a flurry of bets, with reports suggesting a three-month loan deal was on the cards.

Sky Bet's Chris Spicer said: "It is certainly a surprising development but, judging from the size of the stakes, it appears somebody knows something we don't.

"The suggestion is that Barcelona could allow the Spain striker to leave on a loan deal in the intention that he can regain form following the leg break, having looked some way off his best since returning at the start of the season.

"The Swans appear good suitors given their current Spanish contingent and preference to playing attractive football."

yikesyikes

I guess if we can sell Joe Allen for £15m and get the PL current top goal scorer for £2.2m then anything is possible.

Could just be bullst but a regular on the SCFC2 forum claims to have it on good authority that the Villa deal is done - 3 month loan from Jan.

If true, I may have to change my under-crackers!

Just think back 5, 10 years ago and imagine a world class, Spanish international joining the Swans......though to be fair if they had turned up at the Vetch they would have probably run away

Well we did have two internationals in Walter Boyd and Savarese, which was quite exciting at the time wink

Walter Boyd, the only player to come on as a sub and get sent sent off before play resumed! IIRC though, Savarese did score some nice goals.

Deserved draw, Chico was everywhere and if anyone of import listen's to Furby's tirade against Ash, then it'll be a disgrace. Rangel will find it hard to push back into the team. Looking forward to getting Pablo back. Does Schekter really offer more than Danny Graham?

Today was hard going, but a fair result. Thought Vorm should have stopped their first and really we should have had a penalty as their handball was inside the box. 6 points out of 12 isn't a bad return for a busy xmas period with some serious squad rotation going on. Good to see DG10 scoring again.

Quick question as an away fan yesterday, does your park and ride system from Felindre always start so close to the game? There was a lot of pissed off gooners waiting around with no info yesterday.

Great game of football though smile
