Subaru RB320, WRI,P1, RB5,22B

I am looking to get a limit edition Subaru , something that is very low mileage and that will hold most of it's value.
Where do I start any info on which cars I should look for and which dealers are recommended by the community .

Having owned both a 22B and an RB5 try these guys first -

RB5/RB320 either www.rb5oc.co.uk or www.rb320oc.co.uk

22B - www.22b.com (although imo this is more a site for techies to hang out rather than being a dedicated site for the 22B).

Failing that try the SIDC or Scabbynet oops, I mean Scoobynet.com

Quite a huge difference in price between this cars. Whats your budget?

The 22b really is the most special production impreza but prices reflect this.

No budget restraints , but looking for something fun to drive that won't lose too much money in the future. 22b I have on my short list

Can't believe I am saying this as a Scooby fanboy but with that kind of "any budget" thinking.......................................................why not a GTR?????

If you want a rare scooby that will hold it's value go for a Jap spec ltd edition.

RA-R technically the fast's Impreza ever made think theres only two in the country will cost the best part of £22k-30k depending on condition and mileage
S204 again only a couple in the country, but require you to be of a slim build to get into those £5k carbon fibre bucket seats some of these came with ceramics brake to
And then theres the R205 and there is only one in the country and that is mine

Due to the current exchange rates trying to bring one of these cars over will cost you more than what they go for in the UK and becuse of this they are commanding strong residual values not to mention the rarity and performance of these machines.

I have owned R32, R33 and R35. Loved the R32 and 33 but I was very disappointed with the R35 and found no enjoyment from driving it . Very very quick but sold out before they started to depreciate.

The Hawkeye RA-R would be my choice if the GTR doesn't ring your bell but getting hold of one would be extreamly difficult!! I know the owner of one of the few that exists in this country, although i have not seen it around for some time now, hope nothing has happened to it??! It really is wonderful though!!

Thanks I have owned all the GTR's would only have another R32 as I feel there is value in a mint one of those.

I may get stung for this but I don't see the P1 as a car that will hold its value or really hit the spot like a well sorted newage car either.

Really? Even though a decent 12 year old example is still £10k? I can't think of many cars to have depreciated so little and they are only getting rarer.

They certainly hit the spot much better than any newage impreza i have ever been in or driven, just so much lighter and more nimble. The same was hinted in evo mag a few months ago when reviewing a new special edition, they concluded it was great and hugely capable but the classics offer much more by way of feel and involvement.
