Subaru Legacy 5th Generation - Rust??

Morning All,

I have a 2.5i Legacy which i have driven to 106,000 km since we bought it in 2015. Right now it has entered semi retirement as my Wife uses it to haul the kids and I take the Corolla. My question is this, I've read alot about Rust being an issue with Subaru's. Is rust so acute with the more recent models?? I dearly would love to garage her day to day but its so huge it wont fit in the garage we got with the house ( we have another one but even it is too small and in anycase rented out). The car itself is 2013 and has only ever done motorway mileage. I cant see using it hard day to day anymore as its not very efficient but its a solid safe nippy workhorse for the snow here in Switzerland. An excellent tool for when its needed as I'm sure you all appreciate. To this end I'm a little worried about losing it to rust. Am I being irrational given its age etc??

Just give it a good wash underneath make suite it’s bone dry and put some underseal on it , don’t forget arches and all the difficult places which can be better accessed with a spray can of underseal the rest use a tub and brush , i use waxoyl but lots of different types out there
