I think I saw somewhere 2-3 hours, but I could be wrong.

120,000 feet - 23 mile freefall. This will be interesting.
a remmapped 335d would be quicker imo

Actually, after seeing this in the other thread, maybe we should stay right here.

This is amazing, I know it's been done before but still. Just a thought of falling from the edge of space so fast and for so long is thrilling.

A questions though

1) How long do we reckon he will actually be in freefall?
2) I assume he will get up to top speed really quickly but at what point will he start to slow down to terminal velocity?
3) I assume he will be trying to land at a particular place\target. How will he be able to work that out from so high up and since he isn't flying but just falling, how does he "steer" himself onto target if he gets blown off course or something? Maybe it's just me but from so high up, trying to land in a small field or whatever must be reasonably difficult I would imagine!

He will never slow down to terminal velocity, he will accelerate until he reaches terminal velocity which velocity will become lower as the air density increases. [/pedant]

I must admit I think the picture on bbc news of the craft, looking down is stunning.
