The next Falcon 9 completed its static test fire yesterday, so it's good to go.

The launch time is now expected to be on Monday. Not sure what time yet.

Ta. The forecast isn't looking too good for Monday at the moment. Only a 40 percent chance of good weather.

Edit. It's been put back to Friday now. They also need to replace a fairing valve apparently.

It'll be interesting to see if it affects the other Falcon 9 launch due off from Vandenberg on Sunday. A different ground crew of course, but the same mission control.

BTW, here's a glimpse at the Falcon 9 production line:

Delayed until 6/23 or 6/24 , some fairing valve issue

With an Iridium launch from Vandenberg due on the 25th, could be a busy weekend for SpaceX folk.

If Michael Bay can launch two shuttles from Pad 39A and 39B at the same time in Armageddon, I'm sure Elon can manage 2 rockets nearly three thousand miles apart. cool

The Falcon 9 launch due off from Vandenberg on Sunday has just completed its test fire OK.

So the Friday / Sunday double bill is on.

From those web links and the piece written my Musk, it looks like F9H has been delayed until next year now, I thought it was due off later this year, disappointing. I'm hoping to get over to see it as I think it will be hugely impressive, especially if they try and recover all three stage 1's.

Not really surprised. It is a very ambitious project.

Indeed, but the continuation of SpaceX's big dream, I really hope they succeed and continue to push toward their goals, as if they do, the next 10+ years will be (IMHO) the most exciting for space travel since the 60's.

From what I hear there are production model 3's out doing testing and actual customer cars are said to be ramping up ?

As for F9h yeah not a surprise, we all want it to fly but they have to get 39A free and upgraded first and there is a queue of launches.

Pad 40 is supposed to be operational again in August, so the Falcon 9 can move back there then.

The X-37B launch atop a Falcon 9 is rumoured to be in mid-August, so maybe that'll be the first.

The upcoming Falcon 9 from Vandenberg will be the first to use the Autonomous Flight Safety System (AFSS) at that site. They've been using it operationally on Falcon 9s from Florida for the last few months.

Pre-production cars (called release candidates) only at present. Production due to start next month according to Musk.

Yes, he's got a lot on.

What about Sat/Sun - lazy bd wink

Had someone at my house this week with a Tesla Model S - impressive piece of kit. Loads of space, 2 boots, 280 mile range and 30 min recharge time with a super charger.
