SpaceX, Tesla and SolarCity have so far together received somewhere in the region of $10,000,000,000 of free government subsidies worldwide.

And they're still losing money hand over fist.

Have a free graphic.

Shove off Yipper - you only see the negative in everything. In the words of your hero, you're a "loser".

I'm not going to let a grumpy fool like you spoil this for me.

What a great night this is for spaceflight. We are on our way folks.
Yipper, Only just came across the graphic I quite like the way you see the world don't stop...alternative views are always welcomed on the science thread
Toaster and Yipper are the same.

The block 5s will be easy to spot with the black interstage and I believe the legs will also be black too.

The legs are a bit more permanent too. They can be folded back flush to the body after landing and don't need to be removed each time.

All the many improvements are meant to increase durability, and reduce weight and turn around time.

wink

Not to mention that you need to build the booster even stronger to withstand the acoustic and pressure effect from launching in a confined space
Keep complaining about the sexist ones we have at work, when we have contractors in doing maintenance on the building. "Danger! Men at work".

smile

I'm always up for a debate and a discussion. But there are certain posters where I know it's 100% a waste of time and effort.

It’s nice to have the odd thread tucked away that hasn’t been infected with the usual petty st and arguing. I hope this remains as one of them

The delayed Falcon 9 launch will now be on Tuesday, 6th March from 5:33 AM UK time.

Also the second Falcon Heavy test launch is pencilled in for June & will carry 25 small satellites for the military, NASA and various universities:

I think we already knew they were planning to do something like this, but the Air Force have confirmed it now. Hopefully that will stop the whining about sending a car into space.

No SpaceX launches until the very end of March now.

But then they go a little nutso, with a potential six Falcon 9 launches up to the end of April. eek

They may even be doing 3 launches from 3 different launchpads in a single week. This starts with Iridium NEXT 5 from Vandenberg on 29th March, then CRS-14 from SLC-40 on 2nd April and Bangabandhu-1 from LC-39A on 5th April.

The first two rockets are pre-flown Block 4s ,but the last rocket will be the maiden flight of the Block 5 Falcon 9.
