They'll have another go tonight.

Meanwhile SpaceX's CRS-18 Dragon capsule is due back from the ISS later today.

Edit: Splashdown confirmed.

Thanks Rob.

Considering it's last hop I am not sure what is the point of this. Could just call it off and start the proper testing with something that looks like a rocket and not a shiny cistern tank.

I'm sure Elon will want to push things forwards.

Mishaps in the past, though small, have made this thing out of date already compared to the big plan.

Well given the ignition abort yesterday its obvious they have things they are still getting right before moving to a larger vehicle. This hasnt taken much effort and all the parts will be reused.

Tim Dodd getting suitably excited about it.

Did a bit fall off? - some debris by the landing leg on the right?

That looked incredible on the SpaceX live-stream. I honestly questioned whether the initial take off was a render for a split second.

I think that happened last time too. They have some incredibly crude "shock absorbers" as feet. Just some bent metal I think, so probably one of them snapped off.
