Yes and I thought Arianespace’s coverage was the lamest. Not any more.

They made what could be an interesting subject all rather excruciating.

Inanely going "Oooh look at the smoke" referring to the LOX vapour venting before launch, obviously in the belief that it was exhaust from the rocket rolleyes It was like she'd never seen a rocket launch before frown

They're a pretty rare bird; The last launch was in 2013. It's basically a Peacekeeper ICBM first stage with a Minuteman ICBM second stage I think.

I like how its thermal blanket peels away like a banana skin at launch.

Also flashy graphics but the measurements are in Fahrenheit, Feet, Square Inches.

Or maybe it's just me that found that amusing.

Still valid measurements in aerospace. It usually depends on the customer as to what units get used.

There's an Antares launch of a Cygnus supply capsule to the ISS at 11.01 pm tonight:

Update: the Cygnus made it to the ISS safely earlier today.

Not so much luck with India's first launch of the year. Their GSLV Mk 2 rocket launched OK, but then the third stage failed to ignite and it ended up re entering & burning up. Lost along with it was the Earth observation satellite it was carrying.
