NASA and SpaceX are targeting 8:30 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, March 14, to launch the company’s 27th commercial resupply mission to the space station from NASA's Kennedy Space Center. The Dragon spacecraft will deliver new science investigations, supplies, and equipment for the international crew.

They’re trying again on Saturday. The 3 hour launch window opens at 6pm uk time.

If successful, it’ll be the first methane powered rocket to reach orbit.

The previous automated abort was due to the second stage fuel pressure being only one PSI low.

That’s how tight the tolerances are - on the maiden flight at least.

Looks like the single upper stage engine spluttered and died. Still, they got through max-q ok and the first stage worked fine. They did well for a first flight I think.

Scott Manly suggests it could be a fuel pickup issue

It appears to coast for a few seconds before attempting ignition, so fuel could have floated away from the feed pipe. Something as simple as ullage thrusters would fix that ( if that was the issue )
