Watching. Knowing Kourou, we'll see it for about 10 seconds before it passes through a solid cloud layer.

Weather is as I expected. We won't see much of this after a few seconds.

Sorry, she's bloody useless.

The aerodynamic fairing is called an AERODYNAMIC fairing for a reason.

Was it that long?

Still, my three-year-old loved it!

SpaceX launch delayed a day - now set for 11:24 a.m. EST (1624 GMT) Wednesday
Delayed until Friday now.

"Taking additional time for the team to conduct full inspections and cleanings due to detection of particles in 2nd stage fuel system. Now targeting CRS-13 launch from SLC-40 on Dec. 15. Next launch opportunity would be no earlier than late December."

I've been keeping an eye on the New Zealand launch that has been scheduled for launch all week. It keeps getting postponed for various reasons.

Now slated for early hours of Sunday morning (UK time).

OK, that was spectacular. The way stage 1/2 separate then stage 1 boosts back is seriously impressive.

Makes my day job look rubbish!

Just read that.

Also, there's been a Soyuz launch this morning which I just caught the tail end of.

I managed to drive out to the coast to see this, my first launch up close, although I was probably 6-7 miles from the pad, so not as much noise as I'd expected, still hugely impressive to see it. Where I was stood the sonic booms hit about 20-30 seconds after the 1st stage touched back down.

Falcon Heavy is due to static fire on Saturday 6th Jan.

If all goes well, the actual launch will likely be on Monday 15th Jan. This is a public holiday for many in the US (Martin Luther King Jr. Day).

Not sure of the launch window time yet. Hopefully during daylight hours for better visibility.

Also it seems the "Zuma" Falcon 9 has been put back 24 hrs to Friday 5th Jan (Saturday 6th at 1 am - 3 am UK time).

This is due to the weather forecast being better on Saturday (high level wind mostly).

Delayed 24 hours, due to high winds.
