As soon as this was announced a few weeks ago that was the first thing I thought of - an alien spacecraft getting a gravitational assist by looping around the sun smile

Our first chance of contact with an alien civilisation, and it happens whilst Donald Trump is in the White House. Please don’t let that happen.

Was reading some articles about this today. The usual alien stuff was trotted out.

I must say though, I find this really interesting.

Anyone have any ideas of when we will get pictures of it from telescopes (if we are taking photographs of it)?

The pictures we have got are the best we are going to get, I'm afraid. It's moving away from us so a small object is getting smaller by the second.

Oh I agree. Personally I think any intelligent entity that can travel across space to visit us will be Borg-like (Star Trek, not tennis) and could take any form at all. I highly doubt it will appear to be anthropomorphic, unless it can shape-shift or project an image into our human consciousness.

There's some quite ridiculous theories being suggested here. It's quite clearly the Battlestar Galactica.

The aliens appeared and they looked like Jesus, but more confused and wearing y-fronts.

They've clearly been, watched the 'Strictly' final and are going home now. Hopefully there will be something better on TV the next time they visit.
