Sun simulation

I've never come across this before, but it's on a par with the flat earth thing. Sun simulation. I'm having a disagreement with him currently. He states:

"our real sun is privvy to solar cycles. Its output at right now is very little, therefore a nasa pattented simulator has been put in place. For crop production which is in heavy decline worldwide. Have you not noticed how dazzling and white the light of day is now. Thats what caught my attention then i researched it. Its actually pattented."

Anyone heard of this batst conspiracy theory before?
