Good stuff. thumbup
The detail that Kevin Fong and the team go into is just astounding. Just enjoyed the second episode - this podcast series is really NOT TO BE MISSED!

Thanks Eric. I have a long commute now and am running out of podcasts, so I'll start that one this evening! smile

They are indeed excellent. In some of the episodes, they feature internal dialogue between Buzz and Neil in the Lunar Module which was captured by an on-board tape recorder. I can't recall hearing that before.

Disappointing that this isn't getting a general release. Nowhere in the Southwest appears to be showing it!

Saw it last night at the IMAX Waterloo.

I won't give away any plot spoilers hehe

You won't be disappointed. It's very well done.

Some of it feels like it was filmed yesterday.

Saw it at a Showcase on Friday night - Absolutley stunning on the big screen! Conveyed a real sense of tension too, even knowing how it ends! Recommended yes

Took my 20 year-old son to watch it at Broughton Cineworld last night on the IMAX screen.

Interesting watch and wonderfully shot. Sound on take-off was great. My lad thought it was great.

He did have the temerity to point out afterwards the primary demographic of the audience.....I.e only a handful under 50 years old..... laugh

It's a pity how quickly things go out of the public mind. At 42 years old I was born a few years after the Apollo programme finished, and grew up with the Shuttle, Mir, ISS, and unmanned probes such as Voyager. However, I am still in awe of pretty much every aspect of the whole Apollo programme - what an astonishing achievement on so many levels, and from a human perspective what incredible images and stories it's given us. I don't want to make this thread political, but equally I worry at the moment that the evils of extreme nationalism and wall building are out of the public mind now; WWII, the Berlin Wall etc all seem to be fading from memory, and even perhaps the Gulf War. People have such short memories!

smile I agree. It's been done so many times in so many documentaries, but I think this one did it best by far. spin

It's the soundtrack that impresses most. I'll definitely be getting the DVD whenever it's released.

Saw it last night as well, absolutely magnificent.

The only slight wrinkle I have was how they cut the landing sequence down so heavily, I would've liked to have seen a little more of the engine light and orientation sequence. But that's a very, very minor quibble with a tremendous effort. Will definitely buy when it's out on disk.
