It’s a club for trolling and taking the piss out of other conspiracy theorists.
What happens if one of those 'other' conspiracy theorists also thinks that the Earth is flat?

Well I suppose a tiny fraction of them might think it’s real but in the same way a tiny amount of people think the moon landings were fake or that Scientology is true etc.

When you look at the mainstream flat earth society etc and their website and their evidence etc, those guys are just taking the piss.

I've a friend who appears to a total contrail believer and now he's onto 5G in a big way. I can't tell if he's taking the piss or serious.
As in chemtrails?

What’s the connection with 5G?

I see at my kids school some of my son’s friends think it’s a laugh to pretend they believe in chemtrails, I don’t think any actually do though. I think flat earth belief is like that but more of a club. Like a club for people into the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy or whatever, a bit cult like but not actually a cult. Just a laugh.
Haha yes chemtrails! He's a firm chemtrail believer, probably exacerbated by the fact that from where he lives he has a great view of most of the
transatlantic flights crossing NI on a clear day.

But 5G mobile transmissions are the latest source of his paranoia.

When you have a professor of Oncology and literally thousands of other scientists and medical professionals expressing the same concerns there may be something to it?

The telecommunications industry gets to set their own 'safe' limits - That's the fox guarding the chicken coup.
Moreover, the safe limit is based around a Thermal safe limit, and not measuring the EMF levels or their affect on the human body.

Research A.D.S Active Denial System. It is a military crowd control system. This operates on the same 30-90GHZ spectrum

Early adopters of 5G tech are seeing the 'benefits' already - This literally affects ALL life on earth, plants, insects and of course, us.

You also have NO say where the antennae will be placed, if EE want to put one on the side of your house, adjacent to your new-born's room, you cannot stop it.

I can't believe I'm going to type this ..... but I got sent a video on chemtrails and 5G and in the middle they got very excited about the fact that the chemtrails have been spraying us all with nanoparticles and 5G will be used to track us. I don't even know where to start with what is wrong with that.

I wish these conspiracy theorists would get together and sort things out. One lot are telling us that airliners have secret tanks of nerve agents and another lot that they've examined airliners very closely and there's not even enough room in the wings for the fuel needed, so they're powered by compressed air. rolleyesconfused

More light reading on the dangers of 5G.

There is a lot of info in this one, so bear with it and do not dismiss before reading based on your previous assumptions or what the BBC told you in a 300 word article.

Here is what the Scientific American Opinion Piece you linked to says about it's author:
Quote:
Joel M. Moskowitz, PhD, is director of the Center for Family and Community Health in the School of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley. He has been translating and disseminating the research on wireless radiation health effects since 2009 after he and his colleagues published a review paper that found long-term cell phone users were at greater risk of brain tumors. His Electromagnetic Radiation Safety website has had more than two million page views since 2013. He is an unpaid advisor to the International EMF Scientist Appeal and Physicians for Safe Technology.

So those aren't the independent sources you are trying to make it look like...

Well it must have cost him a small fortune of his own money bribing all the following people to be signatories to the letter sent to:

(A very long cut and pasted list of scientists)
Missed my point, you have....

The Scientific American link you gave was to an opinion piece by an unpaid advisor to the group you have quoted, so it is hardly independant support to your case.

I said nothing about bribery, and I'd be very surprised if any of your list of scientists has been bribed.

It is interesting though, that your immediate response was "Bribery!" - it says much more about you than the scientists.

Quite interesting to google some of the cited scientists, some odd obsessions there.

This is not some Tinfoil hat bat st crazy stuff, this is our collective health and we should be discussing it.
Perhaps, but don’t you think there are better places to discuss it than a thread on a car forum taking the piss out of flat earthers and other conspiracy theories?

I always thought it was an in-joke or possibly an excuse for a mans night out.

Man - I'm off to talk about how flat Ireland is.
Wife - OK, see you later

Several hours down the Pub later he comes home and...

Wife - so how flat was Ireland?
Man - Oh, really flat, America is flat too.
Wife - I wondered what had kept you, you talked about more than one place then?
Man - Oh yes, Africa is very flat, hardly any hills at all.

I never thought anyone actually believed it.
