Cordless mini grinder - recommendations?

Need to cut a link out of a new bike chain. Thought I'd get myself a mini grinder. Cordless is preferable as my garage has no power and is too far from my flat to run a lead. Screwfix do a Makita cordless for £120 which is approximately twice the price of the plug-in version.

Any thoughts/recommendations for a good one? I know a possible alternative is a dremel. It'll get used once in a blue moon for light duty tasks such as this so I'm not looking to pay for the most durable best quality tool on the market. I can probably manage with a plug-in version but it will mean doing the jobs I need it for at my parents - the inconvenience of that is probably worth the extra cost!

What other cordless tools are you likely to need? Nice cordless drill? Already have one?You can buy the bare grinders and re-use the batteries from your existing tools.

I currently have none! Have been thinking I could do with a drill to do shelves round the flat and garage (the former I have been putting off for a good 9 months ).

the makita cordless got good reviews in last months car mechanics magazine, if you do buy one make sure it has at least 3ah batteries

Ordered a Riyobi cordless grinder yesterday and Riyobi hammerdrill that comes with two batteries (all Plus One range or whatever its called).

Was cheaper than the Makita so no doubt not as good but should be fine for my purposes. Been thinking I could do with a drill for ages so the deal with a couple of batteries was attractive (grinder does not come with one).

Want to do the job this weekend so didn't have time to spend ages thinking about this!
