Triple QX engine oil...Thoughts?

Your opinion may differ from mine, dear reader. That's why "I believe" and "probably" were in there.
It must be said that generally you get what you pay for. Not a hard and fast rule of course but generally.
Anyway while I'd consider using TripleQX, when the time came to service my £250 shed I saw Shell Helix was four quid more and you got 25% more in the bottle. I trust Shell more.
FYI 'noise suppressant' is a new one on me.
I totally understand the idea it is a opinion, I was wondering what yours was based on when you said pricier oils probably have higher tolerances than the oil in question? It must be said that generally you get what you pay for. Not a hard and fast rule of course but generally.

My opinion is based on my experiences using the oil asked about. Still only a lay opinion but based on about 65k miles worth of driving/riding.
To be honest if I could get a branded name for £22 for 10 litres of fully synthetic then I would probably go for it myself.
Used it for years, believe it's Tetrosyl which are massive oil players, I stopped using marketed oil for years.
Don't use TripleQX as much now "too pricey", as I use Asda 5w40 LL04 or B&M RAC oil for my '12 E91 diesel and my previous "08 E81 diesel, gets dumped every 8k with new filter.
E81 did 180k no issues and my E91 is on 110k again no problems.

Cheap for a reason . As with most things in life you get what you pay for ! I would rather sleep easy for the poxy savings to be made on tin pot oil .
What reason is that? You like paying for advertising and Formula one cars?
Love the idea you lose sleep over these decisions.
Marketing mans dream...
The engine let go on my trusty E Class a couple of years ago. It had done 280k so it had done its fair share but it was FMBSH. I don't know what oil they use. I decided to do an oil change because I thought it was probably a good idea to do it more often with the mileage getting up there. I used a cheap brand, which I wont name, and did the filter too.
2 weeks later it died from oil pump failure. It had been running a bit rough the day before lumpy at idle and I thought it was strange maybe an injector.
Could it have just been its time, maybe. But it niggles me to this day that the only thing that changed was the oil.

I recently changed my oil on my 3.0L diesel Chrysler 300c, went onto euro car parts and was originally buying this, was going to cost £53 for 10L then when i went into the shop itself saw Shell helix professional that was on the website for £66 a bottle yet when i was browsing the shop while he fetched my order i saw the very same Shell that was £66 for £24.99, sometimes think it's better visiting ECP rather than online.
I swear this thread is really frustrating. All the haters babbling on about oils etc. The Op asked about Triple QX and people started to go about Scrap cars, lard, snake oil and the like. Just answer his fookin question. If not i will!. To the OP i have used ?Triple QX for years in my GSI and it doesnt smoke nor lose oil, havnt noticed any noises and engines runs like a dream on 92k. I change the oil every 10k so please comprehend my sensible answer. Triple QX is fine bud. Let them haters hate whom pay 50 quid plus for their oil. My car will still eat theirs.
