So I got home from work today (I commute by train) and as I walked past my car outside outside our house I had the horror moment of realising one of my neighbours has scraped my bumper on my new car - only had it two months!! My lovely black sapphire metallic paint on the bumper has a blemish!

I managed to clean off the excess 'material' that was left but there has been a small area, the size of a five pence coin, where the paint has actually been removed.

I went mad when I saw it and what really pisses me off is that someone on the street knows they've done it and I don't know who it is.

We live in a very narrow where driving past parked cars is no issue, but trying to reverse in to a space behind or in front of another car is very tight. As an example, when I tried identifying who's car had a scratch on their bumper, almost all the cars in the vicinity have scratches given that they have made contact with other cars. There is however a neighbour who is very careless when he parks and I've seen him regularly bumping cars (have approached him befor about it when I shave seen him doing it). I checked his car and he's got some black paint on his bumper. Spoke to my wife about it and suggested I should approach him about it but she said that's not right as I just can't go asking questions like that.

Anyway, I have attached three pictures, two of my car and the scuff, and one of my neighbours stmobile.

The fact that it's so new, twinned with the fact that I'm so picky, means I just want to get it sorted ASAP.

Based on the images, should I;

Get some sort of independent smart repair company to sort?
Or
Take it to BMW to see if they can sort with their own body shop or smart repair guys they use?
Or
Buy an original BMW touch-up pen and simply touch the mark up?

One thing I don't want to get is a full on bumper respray given that it's a small mark.

Are bumpers easier to repair than the bodywork itself?

Thanks

I've posted one image but when you click on it you see the others, too.

Can you see them?

If you're not planning to change where you park then I'd wait until the car is due to go back or you come round to selling it just in case it happens again to do a proper repair so my vote goes to a touch up pen for the time being,
