My Cayenne has a built in air line which works brilliantly. I want to use it to pump tyres on other cars, but the line doesn't reach without faffing about shifting cars around to get the wheels close enough.

The Cayenne's hose ends in a female schrader connector, of course. So I've looked for a female to male 5m hose I can use for an extension. Or 5m of hose and a female connector (easy) plus a male connector (seemingly impossible but maybe I'm searching for the wrong thing). There's lots of stuff around for air compressors but nothing for a simple extension like this. Can anyone offer a solution?

Your "male connector" is a Schrader valve, any tubeless or tubed valve will do. Cut your extension pipe, insert valve, and use hose clip to secure.

Googling 'tyre inflator hose extension' turns up loads of off-the-shelf hoses in various lengths.

There certainly are plenty of those around. I'm also seeing pages of garage equipment in multi-meter lengths with professional quality fittings at the ends, and that was what I was referring to, but I suspect you would need to provide your own schraeder fitting at the inlet, so this doesn't help your original question.

Indeed, that's where I was getting lost in a mesmerising array of couplings and thread sizes. I've ordered exactly one of these with the 1/4 BSP female end and lopping it off to unite with a schrader tyre valve which I dug out of an old box.
