Hi there.
I have a 2010 Renault Clio extreme.

When going at low speeds there is a very loud squealing nose, sounds like it's coming from the front.

It usually happens when I am braking. But not always. Sometimes it happens when I accelerate, sometimes when I turn left or right..

I'm starting to get very frustrated with it. Anyone got an idea of what might be causing it?

Thanks in advance!

Might be an ancillary drive belt slipping. These typically produce a high pitched squealing noise. If so it might vary depending on loads applied by the alternator and power steering, and also whether the engine is accelerating (more likely to slip) or decelerating (less likely). If that fits the symptoms, check the belts for cracking/damage and tension and if there's nothing obviously wrong you could try applying some belt dressing spray. If that doesn't help, the belts are probably not the source of your noise.

Thanks for replying
The belts all seem to be fine, they have been checked.
Could it be dust on the break pads or something sticking?

Binding brakes can cause squealing. Check if one wheel is getting hotter than all the rest.

What type of cars do you drive? Every car I have ever known has had break pads? 😂
