There should be an emergency boot release somewhere in the boot area.
There should be an emergency boot release somewhere in the boot area.
From inside the boot...
Pop off 2 small square covers on either side of the latch. Undo the torx head bolts beneath. Boot latch is now free and gives about an inch of play.
Pop out the 4 trim holders on the lower section of trim. Go round the trim and pull it away, force needed to overcome the clips. Exit the car. Lift up the boot (Still a couple of clips to be overcome) lower trim should lift off with it.
In the hand recesses on the bottom of the boot lid, take out the torx head bolts. Go round and prise off the trim inside the lid - clips to be overcome.
Once exposed , unplug the latch mechanism. Then remove the 3 torx head bolts holding it. Pull out the latch mechanism.
Use a screwdriver to open the latch lock, freeing whatever was caught.
Then reassemble it all in the reverse order.
Happy days!
