Tilting car lift
Discussion
So I decide to buy one if these tilting car lifts , the ones that can lift 1500kg and then tilt front or back for easy access , but am I being a bit dumb here ,the bed that lifts the car is not long enough to reach each jacking point, so the question is would the underside of the car be strong enough with the weight spread across the lifting bed
I await advice before I spend my hard earned
TIA

Using the sills to lift the car (and tilt it!), and not using the jacking points that are designed to take the load, sounds like absolute madness.I await advice before I spend my hard earned

I think I would feel safer lifting a car horizontal, either with a two post, which I haven't got room for, or my mobile scissor lift.
This is my brother doing a pre MOT on his Rover, wire brushing brake pipes, checking for anything seized etc.
He thought the rears were iffy till he realised the hand brake was half on, hence the set of steps.

Edit to add:-
Passed BTW. It needed front tyres, and had 5 advisories.
