Ford Transit Custom - Retrofitting cruise control?

Looking at getting an almost new or new Transit custom (L1H1) panel van.

Now I'm not really fussed for many of the options but cruise control is a must. I'm wondering how easy it is to fit the cruise control, can Ford or garage do it for example?

Probably way too late with the reply. I had a Saab 93 company car, my spec didn't come with cruise. I bought the cruise control arm. The old one pops off and new one clicks on. 5 minutes on the Saab computer they told the car it now has cruise. Everything worked perfectly. Took it off when the car went back and virtually go my money back.

It might not be the same on vans but I can't imagine they'd use different wiring looms on different spec vehicles. I think the above is quite likely to be the best and cheapest answer.

Na not too late, bought a custom a few weeks ago and still need to get towbar and cruise control sorted. Appreciate the response.

Great. You might be able to pick up a cruise stalk from a scrappy - got to be a few written off somewhere.

Probably worth asking a technician at Ford Commercials whether this is actually possible before you go buying anything. Unlikely but it might not be the same process.

There is a thread on the Ford Transit forum that covers this on a Mk7 Transit, I would imagine that it would be similar on a Custom.
