Scania with sports exhaust?

On the M25 lunchtime today going south between 16 and 14 the were two Scania trucks, full artics with trailers, purple, that sounded absolutely bonkers!! Belgian plates.

The drivers new they had something different and were driving accordingly, not dangerously, but slowing down to make a gap and then flooring the loud pedal, and by Christ they were loud! The sound was monstrous!

Just interested if anyone could shed any light...

I have come across a fewe of the Scania V8s on my travels and they do bring a smile.

It's quite common on the continent (and over here to an extent) for owner drivers or certain smaller firms with deep pockets to heavily modify their trucks, especially when they have Scania V8s. It's almost a cliche straight piped Scania V8s now
