I realise that this is an absolute piece of string length question, and will differ from manufacturer to manufacturer as well as other impacts, but I'd be interested to know what kind of 'real world' - hence asking here rather than asking dealers - lead times to expect when placing an order for tractor units.

As you say many factors at play but generally 12-26 weeks depending on model.

You are looking at almost immediate from stock if the spec suits you to a 3 to 4 month lead time. Unit leads times seem to be less than rigids currently.

Agree. Order a white 6x2 midlift mid roof 440 auto and you'll have a short wait.

Local driving school ordered 4x2 330 Daf C.f. superspace artic with manual box and waited just over 3 months. LF 18 tonne rigid with 6 speed manual was 4+ months.
