Imagine the DNA in that This is the standard you should be aiming for.
Do it right, or don't do it at all.
Buying an old coach and fitting it out to even a basic liveable standard will be close enough in price to a purpose built RV/camper that there is no point converting it yourself, unless you just like the thought of living in an old bus.
None of the bus conversions posted previously look like the sort of place I would want to spend 1 hour in, never mind one week.

After reading the new Routemaster thread, I had a look at 2nd hand buses.
Found that single decides are surprisingly cheap....

So, four and a half k for a big single decker. That would make a bloody awesome fake Winnebago!
What's stopping me?
License/economy/weight?
Thoughts are that there's loads of room for bolting in walls/furniture, and they have those bolt down rails top and bottom for secure easy fixings.
Couple of bedrooms, big lounge at the front, toilet and kitchen in between.
Job jobbed?

BUT the reason I recently bought a 5th wheel caravan is because once you're on site with a motorhome you're pretty much stuck there.
They are OK if you're intending to keep moving or you live in the USA but in the UK where can you park a bus ?
(Don't say a bus stop)
Err. I know it probably sounds a daft question but...where the hell are you going to park it? All the camp sites I have been on (in the UK) it would A)be too large for the plot. B)may not even get to the site itself due to being on the back roads to nowhere.
Added: Is that an ex National Express coach going by the front logo.
