Excellent!

On a serious note this could be a good source of info, most of the motorhome/camping forums that I have looked at are truly dire.

Just received the Umwelt Plakette, as in German low emissions sticker, for my battered old motorhome so the Chunnel beckons biggrin

What about hammocks? I hike and camp quite a lot and much prefer a hammock to a tent.

I have a Hennessy Expedition:

Looks like I came back to PH at about the right time.

Current camping equipment consists of an inflatable mattress and three chairs.

I just need, er, everything else and a roof box.

That hammock looks like a proper piece of equipment. I too use a hammock and 'tarp' whilst hiking, although I'm not going to post mine after that!

No mate....smile

We take a fan and leave it on the side by the door which helps a bit..

AC would be nice, but we've found that on very hot days (remember them) if we keep the blinds drawn, and put the silver windscreen cover on, it's quite comfortable and doesn't get to hot.....

Admittedly we haven't really yet been in a place where temps have got so hot that it's become uncomfortable..smile

The van is an 05 with a 2.8 ducato turbo engine, and last year I had it chipped...... Fuel economy has gone from 26mpg to 29mpg and a lot more torque..
Also had cruise control fitted, and a reversing camerasmile

As you can tell, the wife and I love it, it's only done 15k miles, and because the layout suits us so well I doubt we'll be upgrading anytime soon..... Don't see the need at the moment...

Nowt wrong with a hammock / tarp. Thing is where I live there are loads of mossies, snakes, tarantulas, etc that you wouldn't want sharing your bed with you so an all-in-one hammock / mossie net is the thing.

The view from our tent on some farmland in Dartmoor owned by an uncle of my wife. It was the first camping experience for my wife and five year old daughter smile
