I am looking for a 3x3m pop up gazebo. Can anyone recommend one for less than £100. I would like 4 side walls and windows in one or two of them.'more importantly it needs to be waterproof and able to withstand wind - I'm not talking very strong winds but stable enough for typical UK conditions.

Homebase has a good selection online - I bought a couple of 3x3m Gazebos for 30 quid each (lacking the side panels though). There are plenty of options on there under 100 quid.

Try John Lewis online also.

Good luck

I should have stated that it won't be used in a sheltered garden. I'll be using it on open fields and campsites, hence the need for something a bit more robust for wind and rain.

A Homebase one I saw recently lasted less than 90 minutes in standard UK conditions.

Mate bought one of those tents that attaches to the back of a Land Rover. It might not be quite as big as you need but it was made by Khyam and is very sturdy.

Brother has one too but without the "tunnel" bits that attach to the Landy - we use his as a kitchen tent when we go glamping.

I have used pop-up gazebos at events many times.

When used in open conditions, I have ALWAYS ensured that they are secured (usually with rachet straps) to something very secure - either fencing, or proper marquee guy pegs (the ones that are around 3 feet long and need a huge sledgehammer to get them into the ground) On the Gazebo, the rachets were attached to the frame rather than the canvas.

Have never had an issue with winds - and we have been in some pretty exposed places.

Without the addition of rachets and pegs, there is no way (IMHO) that the "guys" that come with the pop-up marquees would have prevented them from turning into kites.

However, these gazebos were not the £100 B&Q jobbies, they were from the likes of www.instantawnings.co.uk

We have used 3m x 3m, 4m x 4m and the one pictured below which is a 6m x 3m

Check out 5* or 5USA in the morning. They're selling infomercialling one most mornings. I do remember that you can pop it in to place using a "pinkie," whatever one of those is.

Bought a £49 pop up from Halfords, for emergency BBQ cover. Works well, probably not the stongest around but can be taken down very quickly if it got too windy. Goes up and down as a one man operation.

The metal folding frames on cheap pop up gazebo's bend and sway in wind and DO break...(Been there blah blah blah). Spend decent money if you want one that will not break early.

Argos are doing a 3 x 3 at less than haf price at the minute, £43.99. We've just bought one and it's well worth the money.

They're also doing a set of side panels at half price, £19.99, although only 3 in a set.

Is that an actual pop up gazebo or one you have to assemble?

Pop up, takes about a minute to put up / take down, depending on the wife's involvement.....

Slightly over your £100 budget, but I saw in the Le Mans forum people recommending the Coleman event shelter - google suggests a 12' x 12' for about £130, but apparently it's fairly durable.

I bought one of these

http://www.thesportshq.com/confidence-10ft-x-10ft-...

£100 and a seriously constructed thing - real heavyweight parts. Detachable sides and pop-up in that it has that collapsible z frame thing, extendable legs etc. the top is permanently attached to the top part.

Costco have these Coleman instant shelters at the moment for £46:

4 mesh sides, rather than solid, but goes up in about 30 seconds! I've just bought 6 of them for our scout group!
