Seem to remember a member here has been over the Col du Tourmalet in a camper van. Is it an easy passage or very narrow and hard to pass in places? Thinking about going from France to Spain via this route.
thanks

We drove over late last year.
plenty of MH on the Roads up and over the Top.
can't recall any real pinch points. only down side was the Road to Lourdes was shut so we had to come back up and over the top then head off to Lourdes.
Pretty sure Spuffington took his Hymer up and over on his thread "back in the Fold"

Yup - it was me!

Spent the night of the Brexit vote at the top. It was hard going for the van but mainly since the outside temp was 43degs C and the Hymer was close to overheating with the heat & incline. But I wouldn't say it was hard or difficult driving and it was glorious spending the night just a few metres short of the summit and going to bed listening to the sound of cowbells as the cattle wandered down the mountain.

Hi, thanks for the replies. We intend to pass over that way on trip to Spain next year, probably pass over in one day and stay on a site on the Spanish side before going over to the coast.
