Hi all,
Have been a lurker on here for a few years so decided to go official.

Am 21, live newbury/hungerford area. Current transport is a 04 mk2 mx5, this will be going in the next couple of months to make space for a renault megane r26 ( any experiences or advice welcome and apreciacted).

Would be interested in any local meets/runs if anyone knows of any.

Cheers.

I have just bought an R26 but I am waiting until the end of the month to tax and insure it. Therefore I have only driven it back from the purchase, but so far I am enjoying it greatly. Any more questions your welcome to ask or if you want we could meet up and have a chat look around the car.

It's not a car meet as such just that Jonstar might be interested in an R26 and I happen to have one. I have offered that he can have a look around it and a chat about the car to see what one is like in the flesh. Hope that clears it up.

In the nicer months (weather) there is a monthly meet in Bracknell and occassionally people organise a run but I have not managed to make one yet.

I have an R26 with Cooksports, Stage 1 map, short shifter, FMC, carbo pads, dump valve, etc. Even with 116k on the clock it's a rocket!

That looks like a serious setup and a lot of fun. Will probably stage 1 mine at some point.

I live in Newbury too.

I have a scirocco (trust me you won't miss it) and a Fiesta (you may well miss this).

It looks it but it really isn't. I could drive it all day as its got radio, air con, auto light and wipers etc and more than bearable suspension. Its not hardcore as that then compromises longer drives to tracks etc.

Where did you go for your remap? I am looking at ray west tuning in andover and I will probably go over there and have a chat with them. I would go to rs tuning but they are 210 miles/ 3.5 hours from me and that would probably meen staying overnight.
