Sorry if this has already been asked but 6 of us are off to Le Mans in my old bus for 6 days with a couple of younger lads who can’t put their phones down, we will put a curfew on them using them but know they will constantly want charging, I want to buy a decent solar charger anyway but want a bit of advise from the ph wise owls on their views of a good one. Thanks.

Apologies for not really answering the question, but for charging phones without mains power then a power bank(s) is the way to go.

20,000mAh, which will charge an average phone 4/5 times for <£20

I have a similar question - but if no one is recommending solar panels can someone who understands elastic trickery explain to me how many mAh a USB charger connected to a Makita 18v 5Ah battery will provide. I understand that 5Ah is 5000mAh, but the output would be 5V rather than 18V so there should be an increase in battery lifespan no?
