Caravan buying help, I have no idea
Discussion
Hey guys,
Based on the advice on this thread:
https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
Im looking for a caravan, my only requirements are:
Well insulated with, ideally electric heating
Clean and spacious, I know modern wont happen, but one can hope.
And ultimately, a good investment, a good price, as its the end of the season, on the basis that I can sell it for the same come spring/summer next year.
budget, say £2,000
Thanks

There are loads - for £2k just get in ebay, 4-6berth nearest first!
Most will have a simple gas heater, but the bottle lasts ages and will take hardly anytime to heat the van - or just get a small oul filled plug in rad.
For what you want maybe look for one with L shaped seating in the rear as they normally have a small table area in the back and a larger seating/table area in the front.
Ones that have been serviced will be a better bet damp wise.

We found a trip to the north west was well worth it. Plenty more vans available and a lot more places selling m, at a lot less, but then we are in the south east.
Whats the proposed use? If you are going to have electric supplied, use the gas to bring the caravan up to temperature, then swap to electric to maintain it. Same withe fridge.
