Hi the reason i have choosen these three is because each one does a version with the lounge in the rear and face to face seats which in my mind give more floor space for my dogs.
LMC i have seen is in Germany, Rapido uk.
which of these is the better motorhome (A class)
Thanks.

I haven't seen many LMC motorhomes in the UK, but we did see a few in France / Germany over the summer. I have no idea of how good/bad they are.

Rapido and Itineo are part of the same group and I think the Itineos are a slightly lower budget brand of the Rapido Group. We were looking at Itineos for some time (their bunk bed models), and whilst they have great layouts, when looking at them in detail at the NEC last year you could see where the money was saved over other brands of motorhome.

The Rapidos do seem very well built and pretty decent specification wise

I'm in the trade and have sold new Lmc and Rapido/Itineo

Lmc were rebadged as Geist in the UK, very good vans but as they don't have a UK presence resale will be dubious.

Rapido is a much better bet, well known in the UK, equal quality and great residual.

Itineo are Rapidos budget arm, quality is decent but not up to the other two's standard but neither is price.

Hymer DuoMobil offers a lovely rear lounge at a big price

LMC were also sold as TEC in the UK but only for a short time - good quality vans (as I have one!)

Thanks all for the replies.

So now i,m thinking LMC I655G,650G LHD these are in Germany. Under 7m which i kinda like.

Rapido 8094df havent found one as yet but i like the fact that the whole floor is flat 7.5 m big!

Hymer Duo Mobile nice but pricey and that wasted large window sill at back taken inside space imo.

Must have Auto box as well, why are so many with manual transmission? I know its an expensive option is that it?

Just started looking at these so sorry if i sound ignorant.

TIA.

Brand new and apparently in stock. Another option might be to visit the NEC in October, Rapido are usually there with 3 or 4 of their dealers - speak to each dealer on the stand and see if you can get a deal from one of them.

From my investigations previously it isn't just the autobox that is expensive, I think there are restrictions on the Fiat base vehicle which state that in order to have automatic you have to .....

a) Upgrade from the base 130bhp engine to either the 150 or 180bhp
b\) Add the ESP / Hill start option (Which might be part of a package including other stuff)

Then you can have the automatic. I think I priced it up with a Rapido last year as they were on our shortlist and it worked out to be around £3.5 - 4k to get Automatic over the basic (130bhp) version.

Yes your right Darren as the Rapido you linked too has Auto and 150hp upgrade.

Trouble is the LMC new 17mdl is around £62k,

Have you been to see these brands?

We started looking at Chaussons, then Itineo and have ended up bying a 2017 Pilote. The quality of finish dramatically increases with the budget you have to spend.

We feel that our Pilote (collect Friday) is easily on a par with the current mid range Hymers. The Pilote brand also own Frankia which seems to be a very well considered luxury A Class range and alot of what we liked on the Frankia, drops into the larger Pilote range.

I was at the salon del Camper motorhome show in Parma Italy last week.
Yes i agree some of the £50k-£60k stuff looked really cheap and nearly put me off completely.
Ones i have come up with now i did not see there.

We started with an 18 month old ex-rental Sunlight - great motorhome, but very basic interior and we lacked "lounging" space on those wet / cold days where you end up stuck in the MHome all day - Sold it after 2 years for nearly what we paid. We did approx 100 days over 2 years in this motorhome.

When we looked for an "upgrade" we looked at lots of makes / models, Itineo were of interest as were some of the other brands such as Rapido / Dethleffs / Hymer etc - but in the end we settled on a PIlote (in fact the exact same model that Vex has just purchased) - basically the quality of the motorhome for the cost was hard to turn down. We purchased a in-stock 2017 van just after the 2018 versions had been released and got a substantial discount which made it very very competitive.

I am not sure if Pilote do an end lounge model though.

Possibly one of the nicest end lounge vans I have seen is the Dethleffs Grand Alpa - very pricey new, but an amazing piece of kit with a very different layout to what might be expected. I've only seen the conversion version but I assume the A Class version will be stunning.

Just seen that Mobilvetta Kyacht TKL80 do a rear lounge model which looks very nice only thing is it has a drop down bed over the lounge which i,m not keen on.
Seems hard to find exactly what i would like without compromise.

There's always a compromise, even on a £250k Niesmann Bischoff there's always something that has to give.
K Yachts look lovely but they're just a Rollerteam in a posh frock so nothing special build quality wise.
There is minimal demand for end lounges outside the UK and all A class are European so they are very rare.
Probably more choice now than in the last 20 years tho

Its worth looking at them, as we were not impressed with the robustness of the trigano group brands
Hymer group products felt more robust if a little blander

Also make sure you get enough payload, many vans these day try to get under 3.5t but have no load capacity
Satellites solar panels bike racks etc dont help
