I’m. little confused regarding the requirement for an MOT regarding classic campers. For example the Bedford CA martin walker conversions from the 1960’s. Anybody able to shed some light on this, thanks.

The rules are fairly simple, any vehicle over 40 years old (rolling exemption) does not require an mot, if not substantially modified, If you're camper was built as such & registered as a motorcaravan then it doesn't need an mot. If it was built as a van & later converted then it might be classed as modified, depending on the amount of modification & when it was done. If done before 1998 (Oct?) it's ok if after then as long as it's just fitting the necessary bits to make it a camper it should be fine, if it's a bespoke body conversion then I'm not sure.
Regardless of needing an mot or not, it is still required to meet c&u regs at all times anyway.
