Where to buy spares for old motor home
Discussion
First foray into this sub-forum so please be gentle.
My parents have a Fiat Ducato motor home (1995 registered) with a Auto-trail Cheyenne body on it.
One of the roof vents right at the front has a damaged plastic cover meaning in will obviously be letting moisture in although for the time being a tarpaulin is doing the job of preventing it.
I have googled and I can't seem to find somewhere that lists spare parts for this type of problem, that may be down to my ineptitude or is it a case you just have to suck it up and buy a whole replacement vent?

https://www.leisureshopdirect.com/ do a lot of spares / components - but I am not sure if they do them for rooflights, might just be for fridges / boilers etc
It may be a case of getting the details and then trying some caravan breakers to see if they have what you need, but it might also be a case of buying a complete new unit and replacing the old, my mate has an older motorhome and had a similar issue, he managed to find the top cover of the rooflight but it was cheaper for him to buy a complete brand new unit and fit it on his van - also gave him the benefit of being able to run new sealant etc

It would be worth asking on one or two of the specialist motorhome forums (fora?) too...
Like Motorhome Facts or Motorhome Fun, for example.
There are quote a few to choose from and most/all are free to start with at least (i.e. 5 free introductory posts before they charge).
I paid £12.50 for lifetime membership of motorhomefacts and it has never let me down regarding useful info.
