Our motorhome insurance is due for renewal soon and we are currently with Caravan guard. We have been quite happy with them so far but as we’ve never actually had to make a claim who knows what they’re like in the event you actually need them. Are there any recommendations for motorhome insurance companies. Seen a few around including the caravan club etc. Who are people using ?

My Father-in-law recently had his RV stolen off his drive, it was insured with Aviva and he had a full and decent settlement within what felt like 10 days, including a settlement for its contents.

Quite impressive for any insurance company.

Camping & caravan club by far the cheapest for me with my t5 camper.

Comparison sites were around £900. Club is just under £400 with max 12 yr+ no claims bonus. Cheapest quote I’ve had for any of my London based vehicles.

I use these guys for the Campervan https://advanceinsurance.co.uk/motorhome-insurance... I believe our actual policy is with LV off the top of my head. Decent broker though who have every year saved me money or at least managed to keep it static when every other policy seems to go up.

I have just renewed with Comfort, policy was good value at approx £250 for my Hymercar. I went with them last year and they were by far the best value for me, the policy covers everything I need. They also offer breakdown cover which is cheap as it includes EU cover.

For us, Comfort always come in well under 100 quid cheaper than others each year when I renew. They also include full recovery etc both at home and abroad too....

Been with Caravan guard for over twelve years, always found them very good for price and cover.

Policies are usually with Royal Sun alliance.

Never had a claim though.

Bit of an update. The caravan club quoted £230 but on top of that with legal aid European breakdown and overseas breakdown it actually worked out at £450. I’ve spoken to Caravan Guard who we are currently with and they are quoting £386 Including UK and overseas breakdown and legal aid as we travel in Europe the Caravan Guard policy looks to be the best.
